Job Summary: Franklin County Community Meals Program (FCCMP) is seeking a part time Social Media Personnel to engage with the Volunteer and Program Coordinator, Executive Director and interested Board Members.

Compensation: This is a part time, hourly position with a pay rate of $16.50/hr at 5-6 hours per week. It is expected this position will be engaged with daily updates from the above mentioned admin staff and seek posting opportunities that match our Social Media Calendar.

Franklin County Community Meals Program (FCCMP) is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to work in partnership with the community to alleviate hunger. FCCMP programs include 4 free community meal sites in Greenfield, Turners Falls, Orange, and Northfield, the Orange Food Pantry, and a monthly Mobile Food Bank in Turners Falls. FCCMP’s vision is to foster an empowered community who work together to address food insecurity, while building systems and infrastructure to holistically address hunger.  FCCMP values the inherent dignity and worth of each person while building a community that is inclusive, formed in mutual respect and motivated by the power of collaboration. By uplifting and strengthening one another, we endeavor to dismantle barriers to food resources and build food security for all.

Program Support Responsibilities

Program Coordination:

  • The Social Media intern will actively solicit information from FCCMP google sheets and the Volunteer and Program Coordinator for daily postings.
    • This includes but is not limited to: weekly menus, events, partner agency promotions
  • Attend a 30 minute meeting weekly with the Volunteer and Program Coordinator to establish priorities
    • Including, but not limited to, resource promotion, donor promotion, fundraising events
  • Be willing to post “spur of the moment” engagement posts within 24 hrs

Community Relations Responsibilities

Social Media and Promotional Efforts:

  • Use the Social Media Calendar to engage with the Volunteer and Program Coordinator for content posting and design guidelines
  • Consult with the Executive Director and Volunteer and Program Coordinator on improvements for social media posts
  • Assist in LinkedIn posting and design via the Volunteer and Program Coordinator
  • Engage with interested Board Members on resources and promotions for FCCMP supported programs

Community Collaboration:

  • Building and fostering relationships with other local nonprofit agencies addressing food insecurity (i.e. Stone Soup Cafe & Center for Self Reliance)
  • Represent FCCMP at workshops, panels and trainings addressing food insecurity with the coordination of the Executive Director and Volunteer and Program Coordinator for social media promotions
    • Including, but not limited to,  photos, detailed interviews and graphic design event promotion

 

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to adhere to short timelines and long term social media plans; including strategic campaign posts

Benefits:

Flexible hours; work from home based. Travel to sites may be required. Required 30 minute meetings with the Volunteer and Program Coordinator every week can be done via online meeting formats.
