A Farewell Message from Executive Director Rachel Berggren

Posted on November 14, 2022

Rachel BerggrenDear Community,

For personal reasons, I will be leaving my position here at Franklin County Community Meals Program, pending the hiring of a new executive director. An unexpected opportunity has come my way and the next chapter of my life is taking me back to my home state of New York.

It has been my sincerest privilege to be a part of this wonderful organization and this community of committed neighbors. I have deeply enjoyed my almost 3 years at the helm of this grass roots organization working alongside dedicated staff, committed board members, and this generous community of partners who band together day after day, year after year to fight hunger in their community!

I know that our organization will be in good hands as the Board of Directors seeks out the next leader of our beloved Community Meals Program. I am committed to staying on as long as needed to ensure a smooth transition. And I am certain that our staff, board and community will continue forward with our mission and vision to foster a community where food is accessible for all! This organization has continued to show up for the community for nearly forty years and will continue to do so with tenacity long after I am gone.

I have appreciated working with you all so very much and I will take my love of Franklin County with me. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to serve our community.

Most importantly, thank you for your continued dedication and support to FCCMP during this next transition.

Sincerely,

Rachel Berggren

The FCCMP is currently taking applications for our next Executive Director. Please see our Job Opportunities page for details and how to apply.
