2024 Bonus Bage Brigade is a Success!

Posted on March 5, 2024

On Sunday February 25th, Franklin County Community Meals (FCCMP) hosted their annual Bonus Bag Brigade at Second Congregational Church in Greenfield. This year we collected 700 bags from 27 individuals and groups, including: Northfield Mt. Hermon, Franklin County YMCA, and Greenfield Savings Bank. Thank you so much to those that donated!!!

We also received additional items that we will be able to use in the future to pack additional bags. Items like protein bars, tuna snack packs, and jerky help provide energy sustaining snacks to our neighbors on days when we don’t serve meals. Bags are also distributed anytime someone in need of food stops by the church. On average FCCMP and Second Congregational Church distribute 3,500 bags each year.

Again, a bit thanks to all those that donated to our Annual Bonus Bag Brigade!!!

We are an active board, so hands-on experience is key! Do you have skills you want to share with us? Are you ready to be part of the FCCMP team? Contact Sarah Adam at madsahara@gmail.com for more details. You can also join our next board meeting, Tuesday May 20th, at 6pm at the Franklin County Community Development Corporation (FCCDC) located at 324 Wells Street, Greenfield, MA 01301.
