Let’s keep the spirit of giving going this holiday season!

Posted on December 1, 2021

gina annual appealA sincere thank you to each and every one of you who helped us reach an FCCMP record yesterday on Giving Tuesday. We are so humbled by the outpouring of support for our community and the demonstration of solidarity for our work. Thanks to you, we raised $7,590!!! Let’s take a moment to celebrate the power of community coming together!

But that’s just the beginning… Our annual appeal letter is in the mail and we are launching our Year-End Giving Campaign today! For the month of December, our goal is to raise $50,000. Thanks to you, we are already 1/5th of the way there!

Our Year-End Giving Campaign is all about ensuring our programs continue to be a staple in the communities we serve. With 4 free meal programs, we serve over 30,000 meals annually. Across our 3 food pantry programs we distribute over 300,000 pounds of food to over 2,000 individuals. All of this requires coordination, staff time, food costs, mileage for transporting this food, electricity to keep our refrigerators running and the lights on, and more.

As hunger rates have risen, we rose to the occasion with intention and dedication. To do so required more funding to ensure that we could provide more food to more people. Our job is to show up for our neighbors in need. What we ask of you is for your continued support so that we can continue to show up for those who need us most.  As a grassroots community based organization, our community is our most valuable resource.

Thank you for joining us as we continue to build community, together. Let’s keep the spirit of giving going this holiday season.
